My name typically throws people off as it's spelled one way and pronounced another. While it looks like Maria, it's actually pronounced "Mariah". I have spent my life commenting that 'it's like Mariah Carey but without the "h"'.

I am new to the Travel Advisor-side of the house but have spent a handful of years overseas and experienced different cultures abroad. I am a military veteran who has lived in Italy, South Korea and Germany. I love to travel and experience new things. Being a travel agent has been a dream of mine I can finally make happen. 

After 21 years in the service, I finally retired and live in a beautiful Florida town with my two children and husband. We have planted our roots here and I look forward to watching my children grow up, surrounded by activities, adventures and opportunities that weren't available to me when I was young. 

I chose the name Calypso Travel because in some story lines of mythology, Calypso was a Goddess of the Seas. I thought that only fitting that it matched my passion for the open water.  I specialize in cruises as well as land travel.
