Sunrises and sunsets over the water are the BEST!

My name typically throws people off as it's spelled one way and pronounced another. While it looks like Maria, it's actually pronounced "Mariah". I have spent my life commenting that 'it's like Mariah Carey but without the "h"'.

I am new to the Travel Advisor-side of the house but have spent a handful of years overseas and experienced different cultures abroad. I am a military veteran who has lived in Italy, South Korea and Germany. I love to travel and experience new things. Being a travel agent has been a dream of mine I can finally make happen.

After 21 years in the service, I finally retired and live in a beautiful Florida town with my two children and husband. We have planted our roots here and I look forward to watching my children grow up, surrounded by activities, adventures and opportunities that weren't available to me when I was young.

I chose the name Calypso Travel because in some story lines of mythology, Calypso was a Goddess of the Seas. I thought that only fitting that it matched my passion for the open water. I specialize in cruises as well as land travel.

Large family trip!

We had a lot of people to plan for and very specific things we needed, and she was Maria was able to find exactly what we were looking for.

Christmas with son and wife and granddaughters

Was a pleasure to work with. Answered any questions we had about traveling during Covid. Was very informative and knowledgeable. Will definitely use Calypso Travel again
